Recently, new software has been installed to stop the evil spam-bots from infecting this web site. The old filters were good, but were only 99% effective, which means that 1 bot got through every other day.
The new filters have been running for a couple weeks, and so far have been 100% effective, with no false positives yet. =)
Of course, that could be because of the extremely low traffic this site gets.
The main thing is with these new filters, a lot of the old filters which WERE blocking real people from registering have been removed, and it should be a lot more friendly.
